 We use the finest Sterling Silver available on the market today. It does contain anti-tarnishing agents. However, all fine sterling silver "does" tarnish. We recommend that you do not wear it in the shower, hot tub, sauna, ocean, and swimming pool or areas where chemicals are used, Like hair salons, medical atmospheres where disinfectants are used. All of this exposure will only quicken the tarnishing process. The high chlorine and/or Bromine contents used in swimming pools and hot tubs will accelerate the tarnishing of Sterling Silver jewelry. Sometimes the high content of minerals in your water source will accelerate the tarnishing of Sterling Silver jewelry. And even sometimes the chemicals in soaps, makeup, perfumes, and oils of your skin will accelerate the tarnishing of Sterling Silver jewelry. We suggest you store your sterling silver jewerly in a plastic bag when you are not wearing it. Leaving it out exposed to the every day elements is not good, oil from you skin accumulates on the sterling and attracts polutants in the air. Clean your Sterling Silver after each wearing with a soft cloth this keeps the chemicals and/or oils from just sitting on the Sterling Silver which will cause tarnish to develop. Use a Sterling Silver Polishing Cloth when ever possible, they are "treated" to protect your sterling silver and will add life to jewelry.
